WHO WE ARE

Here at Welcome-Tongasoa, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in prevention of the sex trades through teaching a variety of trade skills. Our decision making process is informed through relational conversation, gaining knowledge by means of direct and indirect observation or experience and hours of research.  We strive to build productive, healthy relationships and make a positive impact within our communities, including our pursuits.

A BIT ABOUT US

Turning Interest Into Action

Here at Welcome-Tongasoa, we’re committed to investing our lives, skills and experiences, even resources in order to further achieve this cause. Since 2014, we’ve been building relationships in our community in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts, unity in community and more.

Just imagine what we can achieve together!

OUR PROJECTS

Collaborative & Innovative

ANIMAL HUSBANDRY

We share about housing conditions for each animal, mating, cleanliness and other specifications for the culture and climate. It has been amazing to watch our boys grow in love caring for and tending to the animals.

COOKING AND BAKING

We start at the beginning with growing our food, proper watering and tending to the soil. Sometimes we have to shop the market, when that happens we get to teach about how to pick the best items and work on learning change.  Then washing and preparing leads to cooking and baking!

CONSTRUCTION

From fences, to shelters, windows to doors, wells to outhouses, shelves and kitchens, if it is necessary then we learn and we teach.  We work with brick, in concrete, with sand and rocks, wood and more. We train the younger generation while working alongside experienced masons, carpenters and more.
